Our department organized the NATIONAL GEOMORPHOLOGY SYMPOSIUM in 2015, which is extremely important for the geography community. Nearly 150 academics and 350 students participated in the symposium. Participants came from many geography departments.
In 2016, our department organized a GIS event, and awards were given to the winning students.
The 22nd National Regional Science and Regional Planning Congress, organized by the Turkish National Committee for Regional Science (BBTMK), was held in person at the Department of Geography, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Ondokuz Mayıs University, between June 8-10, 2023.
